Camping in Western Maryland
These are some shots of my camping trip to Rocky Gap in Western Maryland. We did some awesome pumpkin carving as it's Autumn and Halloween is coming up. And we hiked up a mountain to see some awesome views of the landscapes and colours!

What's the view on Halloween, amongst the culture you're a part of?

um... It isn't really celebrated all that much. they do a party type deal a church called 'Harvest Fest', which isn't really halloweeny, but just to keep people entertained i guess.
People get right into the seasons though, like now it's autumn so they've got pumpkin everything! Pumpkins on doorsteps are popular, pumpkin pies, pumpkin colours and even pumpkin beer! craziness!
I think this is because their seasons are more dramatic. For us it's: Summer=hot, Winter=cold,wet, Spring=blooms, Autumn=just getting a little colder.
They have: Winter=Snow, Summer=hot, Spring=bloom, Autumn=pumpkins!
I think Autumn is especially different because 90% of our trees are evergreen.
I like our weather better, it's a whole lot less cold!
